At Rothbury Kindergarten we provide quality care and early education for children ages 0-5 years in Rothbury and the local area.
We aim to provide children with freedom, happiness, guidance, discipline and kindness in a consistent, secure environment. We recognise the emotional needs of children, which include attention, affection, safeguarding, as well as a sense of belonging and personal growth. They need encouragement to learn from experience, the opportunity to explore, investigate and experiment and be given appropriate activities that encourage children to reach their full potential.
Quality Childcare
All children learn through play - the principal means of learning in early childhood. Through play, children gradually develop concepts and ideas, learn to discriminate, make judgement and use their imagination.
At our nurseries we have been providing quality childcare, using the experience we have gained since 2000 to ensure all our nurseries provide the best environment for our children's learning and development. At Rothbury Kindergarten we draw upon the knowledge gained from our 4 sister nurseries in South Tyneside, all of which are Ofsted graded Good or Outstanding, in order to provide this. Local Links
Rothbury Kindergarten has close links with both Rothbury and Thropton First Schools and passes on any relevant information regarding your child's learning and development, during their time with us and when they leave.
Free Funded Childcare
At Rothbury Kindergarten you can access 39 weeks of free funded childcare throughout the year. You can access up to 30 hours per week of free, quality childcare at Rothbury Kindergarten, with our funded places being available for all eligible children aged 2 - 4 years. We are Outstanding
In September 2021 we had our most recent Ofsted inspection and we are delighted to be able to share with you that Rothbury Kindergarten is officially an Outstanding nursery.
Everyone at the nursery is extremely proud of the result but we are determined to not stop there. We will continue finding ways to improve upon the childcare opportunities we offer to the children who attend our setting, and to build upon this outstanding grading we have received going forward.
